<\/a>The Olohana Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based on Hawaii\u2019s Big Island since 2008.\u00a0Olohana focuses on building community capacity, cohesiveness, resilience, and emergency preparedness around projects that intersect food, energy, water, and knowledge systems.<\/strong><\/p>\nWe serve native and underserved peoples in Hawaii, the U.S. mainland, Alaska, U.S. Virgin Islands, U.S. Pacific Islands, Micronesia, and Mauritius.<\/p>\n
The age of our\u00a0demographic is wide-ranging, from student-age youth to elderly. While our\u00a0focus is on native peoples, the target demographic spans race, ethnicity, religion, and cultural background. We\u00a0serve youth, families, neighborhoods, government, private sector, service institutions, farmers, teachers, lawyers, and tribal Indian Chiefs.<\/p>\n
Olohana does not work in isolation but with an extensive network<\/strong><\/a> of partners and collaborators.
